About Edward Myers

I'm the author of twenty-six published or forthcoming books. Ten of the books I've published are for children, including Climb or Die, Hostage, and The Adventures of Forri the Baker. I've also written three novels for adults (The Mountain Made of Light, Fire and Ice, and The Summit) and many other books for grown-ups. In addition to being a professional writer, I'm a dad--my daughter Robin is fifteen years old, and my son Cory is eleven. I live with my wife and children just outside of New York City in northern New Jersey.

Where are you from?


I grew up mostly in Denver, Colorado. As a kid, I also lived in Mexico and Peru. I left Colorado in 1982 and moved to New York City, where I lived for six years before settling into a small town in the New York metropolitan area.

How long have you been a writer?


From the age of about six or seven, I enjoyed telling and writing stories. My parents encouraged me to pursue these literary interests; one thing led to another. I've now written over 40 books and have published (or will soon publish) a total of 26.
